What laptop specs do I need for streaming?

Streaming is the double-load workload: the game at full tilt and a broadcast pipeline beside it, for hours. Two specs carry it: a hardware video encoder, which takes the broadcast almost for free, and sustained thermal capacity, because a machine that throttles mid-stream drops frames in front of an audience.

Measure it instead of guessing

Before the first real stream, run the deep sustained test and then a full-length private rehearsal: the test predicts the settle point in eight minutes, the rehearsal proves the whole pipeline at that settle point for an hour. Machines pass or fail streaming in exactly that order.

What software cannot tell you here
