What should I do if I left my laptop in a hot car?
Bring it inside and let it return to room temperature before switching it on, which usually takes an hour or two. Do not charge it while hot, and do not try to cool it quickly in a fridge, because condensation inside the machine is a worse problem than the heat was.
A parked car in summer routinely reaches temperatures well beyond the storage range laptops are specified for, and the battery is the component that suffers first and most.

Carry on, and avoid a repeat. One hot afternoon rarely ends a laptop; a summer of them measurably shortens the battery's life.
Measure it instead of guessing
Once the machine is at room temperature, run a sustained test as a general health check. A normal curve alongside unchanged battery health is good evidence that the machine came through it, and it gives you a comparison point if you ever need to argue that something changed afterwards.
